Recommendations for mattress care

Buying a high-quality mattress is a small victory! But even the best products require competent care. In order for the mattress to serve for a long time, please you and guarantee a healthy sleep for the little one, you need to follow simple but important rules.

Simple rules for mattress care

Place the mattress on the frame, which has special orthopaedic slats (resilient slats). This is necessary for the proper operation of the Sonto mattress ventilation system, diligently carried out by the developers. Ventilation will not work properly in cots with a solid bottom, because of the blocking of the flow of air from below. As a result, the child sweats and sleeps restlessly.
Use a hygienic mattress topper (Jersey or Aero). It will protect the cover from dirt that cannot be avoided during long-term use of the mattress.
Air the mattress 4-6 times a year. To do this, it is enough to leave it for 6 hours in a well-ventilated room, having previously removed the bed linen.
Dry clean your mattress every 3 months using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. This will prevent the accumulation of allergens and the appearance of dust mites.
Turn the mattress 4 times a year according to the “head – feet” principle. This alternation of sides will ensure a good orthopaedic effect throughout the entire service life.
Remove the cover for washing as needed. In all models of Sonto mattresses, the covers are unzipped on three sides. Use liquid powder for automatic washing and choose a water temperature of no more than 30° C.
Never dry the mattress with a hair dryer or iron, as its components are flammable.
Air dry the cover. Using a tumble dryer may cause the Tencel fabric to shrink.
Do not beat the mattress under any circumstances, otherwise it will be deformed and lose its orthopedic properties.
